FAITH
Our Shepherd teaches Biblical Christianity, Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Children are taught daily through words, music, and actions that God loves them.
FAITH is expressed daily and is incorporated into all aspects of teaching and discipline.
CHAPEL is held every Wednesday morning for 1st-8th grades and Thursday morning for Kindergarten and Early Childhood in the sanctuary. Each child has a chapel buddy to help guide them in their faith journey.
TECHNOLOGY
Our Shepherd introduces technology in Kindergarten, and it is integrated within the existing curricula for all grades. Students benefit 1-to-1 technology throughout the classrooms. Third through 8th graders are required to have their own Chromebook as part of their school supplies and utilize their own devices for research, lessons, tests, and homework. Kindergarten-2nd graders use school-provided devices while in the building. These technologies assist in classroom instruction, broaden resources, and create teachable moments.
ATHLETICS
Our Shepherd offers multiple opportunities for students to be involved including cross country, volleyball, co-ed soccer, boys and girls basketball, and track. Our programs start at 3rd grade and continue through 8th grade.
Our Shepherd is part of the Central Indiana Lutheran Athletic Association.
NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY
Our Shepherd Lutheran School admits students of any race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin with all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, admission policies, athletics, or other school-administered programs.
