Share Life With Our Shepherd

Missions

God has called us to serve in our churches, our community, and around the world. At Our Shepherd, we believe that we are the hands and feet of Christ, and have a responsibility to share Christ's love with our fellow man through service. These are some of the ways we do that:

LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League)

The LWML is the official women's auxiliary of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The LWML focuses on affirming each women's relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries, and supporting global missions. Our Shpeherd has two groups that operate as part of the LWML:

  • Ladies Circle meets in the mornings once a month
  • Ladies Guild meets in the evenings once a month

Food Pantry

Our Shepherd manages an active food pantry to assist members of our community. Donations are collected in the narthex. You may also assist with sorting throughout the week. Distribution of food is on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of the month. If you have any questions or would like to help please contact David Rieger at

Fellowship Team

The Fellowship Team’s mission is to organize and provide events that provide opportunities for the Body of Christ here at Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and School to be engaged with one another. These events are designed to foster genuine, meaningful, and unifying relationships founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If you want to help and get involved on the Fellowship Team, please email the team at

Deacons

Deacons make sure all Our Shepherd families are being taken care of on an earthly level, but even more, that they are receiving Word and Sacrament. Their goal is to make contact with these families and check in with them, seeing if there are any needs Our Shepherd can help with. For more information contact

Connections

The Connection Team helps new members develop friendships, become involved in worship, bible study, and service activities. The team facilitates the new member class and orientation, sponsor program, and organizes information for new members. Contact for more information.

GO-Missions

Our Shepherd’s missions team is called GO. It means “getting out” into our community. This focus allows us to get involved by serving locally every month. Look for an opportunities to GO and help others in need as we share life with our shepherd! The GO-Missions Team also has annual events they oversee such as Trunk-or-Treat. At these visits, Bible Study is provided as well as time where we praying with them. Cards and other tokens of love are delivered each month to encourage and Shre the love of Christ with these members.
