Mrs. Shirley Cronauer currently teaches kindergarten at Our Shepherd Lutheran School.  She graduated from Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  She has a major concentration in Early Childhood Education, a minor emphasis in Speech/Drama, and is devoted to her work with young children. 

Mrs. Cronauer holds a current Indiana teaching certificate, is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and regularly attends classes and workshops, such as the Annual Conference for Indiana Kindergarten Teachers, to stay current with educational practices that foster success in learning for her students.  Her family background consists of a family of teachers, including two sisters that teach kindergarten and a father that retired after serving 40 years in the teaching ministry.

She has been an early childhood educator since 1986, with the exception of six years, when she had the privilege and joy of staying home to raise her son.  When she is not teaching, Shirley enjoys spending time with her family and doing things they love such as:  traveling, cooking, reading, gardening, playing games, and walking.  Mrs. Cronauer resides with her husband and son in Hendricks County.
