Ms. von Strohe is the Art instructor for the 3rd - 8th grade
students. Ms. von Strohe retired from full-time teaching in
2006 and now teaches Art two days a week. Ms. von Strohe
graduated from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan,
and completed some graduate hours at Western Michigan
University while teaching Algebra and Art at Valley
Lutheran High School in Saginaw, Michigan. After teaching
at Valley Lutheran for four years she accepted a call to St.
John's Lutheran School in Bakersfield, California, where she
taught for six years before accepting the call to Our
Shepherd in 1997.
Ms. von Strohe has three children, seven grandchildren, and
five great-grandchildren. She loves being back in Indiana
and able to enjoy all of these children. She enjoys
painting, sewing, reading, and traveling. She has lived in
several states in the USA and also spent three years in
England. She has traveled extensively in the USA and has
also visited Africa, Asia Minor, and Europe.
