you can help
Our Shepherd Lutheran School
Through member
gifts Thrivent will match up to $600 per person or gifts adding
up to $600 for $.50 on the dollar. Simply make your offering
check out to Our Shepherd Lutheran School and place it with a
matching form in the offering plate. You can become an
associate member of Thrivent for $10 per year per family. For
doing nothing more then filling out a form you can increase your
giving to Our Shepherd.
Through buying
gift cards or certificates for many restaurants, stores, or
services from Our Shepherd the school profits with a percentage
of sale for each certificate. Percentages range from 3%-25%
based on the card. Orders placed take a week to be filled and
some are available for sale before school on Monday and Friday
and between Sunday services in the Fellowship Hall.
Simply clip
the box tops from General Mills products and turn them in around
school. Each box top is worth $.10 so it can add up quickly.
Encourage other family members, friends, and neighbors to save
theirs as well.
 By
saving the labels from Campbell products the school can purchase
items from a catalog and this helps us defray the costs for
classroom supplies, office supplies, or other items that we can
purchase. Again ask other family members, friends, and
neighbors to save their labels.
Join us for
our annual golf outing every June. You can participate by
playing in the tournament or helping us find sponsors or others
to donate items.
We
recycle used printer cartridges and newspaper. Look for boxes
around church and school to deposit the cartridges and the
newspapers go in the green and yellow container behind school.
Our
annual auction take place every November and is the largest
FUNdraiser held each year. Participation is greatly
appreciated both in attending and bidding on items, but also by
helping us secure donations, donating a gift, and/or serving on
one of the many committees associated with the auction. Much of
the work can be done at home or can be a short time frame
commitment. Proceeds go for numerous projects depending on the
year.
This is our
newest service provided to the church and school community.
Market Day is a program where you order food from a flyer or on
the internet and then it is delivered to Church once a month.
Their items are very good and conveniently packaged. Look for
special items monthly that bring greater profit.
Eli Lilly
matching gift program. Any employee or Retiree from the Eli
Lilly company can have their contribution to Our Shepherd
Lutheran School matched through their endowment dollar for
dollar. If you are a Lilly employee or retiree simply write
your Sunday offering to the School and enclose a matching gift
form and put it in the offering plate.
Employees of
Raytheon are also eligible to have their contributions matched.

Employees of
Duke Energy can have their gifts matched up to $1000. Simply
make your check out to the school and write Duke Energy Match in
the memo section of the check.
If you get any
magazines at home you can get them through QSP and the school
gets 40% profit. Simply go to QSP.com and register and enter
425068488 as the school code and Our Shepherd will get credit
for it. This can be done year round.
