Academics

Experience Lutheran Educational Excellence

In a recent study, the U.S. Department of Education ranked the Lutheran education system highest academically among other schools, including public, Catholic, charter, or other private schools. Lutheran school students test 23% higher than the national average on standard achievement tests. (Brekke, M., Youth Research Center)

Continuing Your Child’s Education

Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and School is one of 16 churches who are part of the Greater Indianapolis Association for Lutheran Secondary Education whose purpose is to provide Christian education for the youth of our church and the community. After 8th grade, our graduates choose to continue their education at Lutheran High School of Indianapolis, or at other private or public schools in the Indianapolis area. Teachers and staff always look forward to visits from previous students to hear how they are doing in high school.
